Our congregation has been meeting online regularly for Sunday Worship, Bible Study and Prayer Fellowship too, via Zoom – ever since the COVID-19 lockdown began. As the city of Chennai was under lockdown due to the Coronavirus Pandemic in May, a Virtual Vacation Bible School themed ‘Boot Camp’, was organized together with Scripture Union. Around 75 children aged 5 to 16 years – from our parish and neighbouring churches – participated in the online VBS, via Zoom. https://vimeo.com/422092781

India’s 71st Republic Day was celebrated on 26 January 2020, with flag-hoisting and special prayers for the Nation. The Church was decorated with the Indian flag, and the hymn ‘Abide with me’ was sung during the morning worship service. Major General Surender Pavamani hoisted the tricolour, after the service.
The Mission Festival was celebrated on 21 July 2019, starting with the Holy Communion Service at 7.30 am. The Sale was inaugurated by our Presbyter Rev. Dr. Paul V Birla after the service. All fellowship groups participated in the sale by putting up stalls. There was breakfast and other stalls selling eatables and homemade goodies.
The Vacation Bible School was held in our Church from 24 April to 4 May 2019. Around 140 children from our parish and the surrounding areas participated in the VBS. ‘Come, let us go to Galilee’ was the theme this year, and many joined in enthusiastically by volunteering and teaching in the VBS.
Palm Sunday was celebrated on 14 April 2019, with a procession. The Church was decorated with palm leaves, and the congregation went on a procession to the main gate, where they assembled and sang songs and read the Bible. Our Choir sang a special cantata during the Passiontide Recital in the evening.
